Sources: Center camera - taken from Hi8 master tape - filmed by Vic, transferred by Mike Smyser Cuts out at beginning of "This Love" Left camera - taken from an unknown filmer's 1st generation VHS tape, transferred by Digitallive Missing the encore of "Walk" Audio CSB > Sony TCD-D100
01 - Taped by Toaster Features the complete show, so "Walk" is audio only
DL's notes: I've had these 2 seperate sources for a long time. The left one I got from the filmer a week after the show in fact. I'd been told they did I 2 camera mix but for whatever reason I didn't obtain it back in the VHS days. Unfortunatly, a high quality copy of it from the mix tape master or even a 1st generation copy never made it to the DVD trading world. Only a poor copy did, 2nd at best and possibly 3rd or 4th generation. Either angle on their own were more enjoyable, in my eyes, than that one.
Fast forward to 2018, and after Vinnie Paul's death, some shows popped up on dime in tribute. One of them was a high quality audio of this same show. I don't like to redo another filmer's work, but the chance to add the audio plus tweek the video mix, knowing the original hadn't surfaced in sufficient quality these last 15 years DVD tradings been the norm, was appealing enough to overcome my hesitation.
I feel what we have now is the definitive version of this show, now complete, albeit only audio, of the "Walk" encore. Also, I feel like is the best video representation of Pantera's final US summer tour. There are a lot of good videos June and July of '01, but no 2 cams, and none with audio quite this good.
As for the show itself, setlist is standard for this tour. I did miss the deep cuts "Floods" and "Use My Third Arm" that had been added for the spring US and overseas dates. The band here is firing on all cylinders. Mixing this reminded what a true engine like precision these 3 really were. Phil's in a great mood here, and sings most the words truer to their studio recordings than had been done on a lot of other tours, He's enthusiastic and friendly with the crowd, and let's the music do the talking for the most part.
