Taper Notes:
Four In-Ear Monitor feeds + AUD capture = Matrix Audio Recording + HD Multi-Cam Audience Video Recording
Sound Quality 9/10

While hanging out with Limulus in Las Vegas on the eve of the Guns N' Roses Double Shot at T-Mobile Arena,
I recall mentioning that I had a good feeling XAVEL would be on site capturing IEM feeds of both nights.
Upon learning XAVEL did in fact capture IEM feeds of both GNR Sin City reunion shows,
I immediately placed my order for 2 of the pressed 4CD/2DVD Las Vegas 2016: Double Shot packages.

I've noticed that some of the random audience noises on the April 8th Double Shot source match up with background noise on Sin City Illusion I.
This gives me reason to believe that the 16/44 Limulus edit of my April 8th source was used as part of the Double Shot matrix.
As a fan of XAVEL's IEM+AUD recordings, I'm flattered.
If XAVEL had simply asked, I would have provided access to my raw 24/96 master recording so they'd have been able to produce a higher quality matrix.
If anyone associated with XAVEL is reading this, please be in touch!

NOTE: The Double Shot cover is shown on screen between virtually every song!
There is also a small XAVEL watermark on the lower right side of the screen for the duration of the video.
XAVEL must really want people to be well aware of who produced this disc.

The main angle is a wide angle full stage shot from the back of venue.
This angle reminds of me of those Montreal concert videos from the 80s that were shot by Pierre.
There are also two angles on the floor, right in front of the stage.
One on Duff's side and one on Slash's side. It may have been the same filmer.
The floor angle isn't used very often.
There was also an angle based in the left side of the lower bowl, that was used at the beginning of the show.
The filler clips could be youtube footage.

I would like to STRONGLY encourage Guns N' Roses Inc. to release both Las Vegas 2016 gigs in Blu-Ray/DVD/CD/Digital Download format.
Releasing the Vegas reunion shows would be easy money. This move would eradicate these pesky bootlegs!

Do yourself a favor and throw out the DVD5 version of the GNR Las Vegas: Double Shot 2016 shows.
The HD video quality of the main angle is stunning on this Blu-Ray release!!

I would like to mention that if you've attended both Las Vegas 2016 shows, you have seen about 95% of the entire 2016 GN'R tour, up to this point.
The nearly identical 2016 setlists have been a tremendous disappointment to hardcore Guns N' Roses fans.

It is great that Axl is moving again.
Watching Axl sing while trapped in a chair, during two of the biggest performances of his entire lifetime was bizarre, but also historic in its own right.

If you enjoy Double Shot, please show your appreciation by donating to your favorite children's charity! Thank you!!
