This is an ultra-rare outdoor concert from the "Fight For The Rock" era of Metal/Hard Rock legends SAVATAGE - something which has not existed until now. Video footage was taken from the Master VHS. After filming it back in the day it was put in a box and forgotten about. After being rediscovered the footage was then transferred to a Stand-Alone DVD5 disc. After I obtained the footage I stripped off of that disc, and both the video and audio have been remastered and authored into this new DVD9 Dual-Layer disc that you are about to download.
Notes: This was the first USA gig for new bass player Johnny Lee Middleton (now a member of Trans-Siberian Orchestra) who was hired by Savatage in late 1985, just before the recording of the "Fight For The Rock" LP. Johnny previously played in the Tampa band "Lefty," which was a popular glam/hard rock band in the Tampa area at the time.
Footage was filmed by a friend of Johnny's and is recorded from right in front of the stage.
A better concert of "old" Savatage does not exist!!!
