Sony Hi-Def HDR-HC1 with Sony ECM-719 external stereo mic > Panasonic DMR-E85H stand alone DVD recorder in FR mode for maximum bit rate > DVD-R with chapters between songs

Filming went well for me overall at this show. It was filmed from just above floor level dead center with no audience obstruction. It's very steady, with no screamers / singers / talkers near me. The Sony HDR-HC1 has the very rare feature of manual audio recording levels, which I used, and it makes it sound a lot nicer that the compressed sounding auto gain of auto recording levels. You would think that this video has DAT audio dubbed onto it, but it doesn't, it's the original camera audio with the Sony ECM-719 external stereo mic. I also used manual exposure which only had to be turned down a couple of notches, because most of the show had fairly dark lighting overall. The spotlights were much dimmer than most shows. White balance was set to indoor, and color level was set to +2 (from a setting which ranges from -4 to +4). Even though this is a standard definition torrent, you will notice that the picture quality still has much less grain and noise, since it was videotaped in Hi-Def, as compared to the average standard def video camera. There are a couple of minor problems. I had an on and off camera duck during Brighter Than A Thousand Suns due to an usher moving, then seating, people in the row behind me. For most of it, I was able to blindly shoot at wide angle with the stage still in the frame. During parts of The Evil That Men Do and Hallowed Be Thy Name, there is on and off digital noise in the right channel of the audio. This is also in the master tape. There are no glitches or drop outs in the video though, only the right channel audio was affected.
